Required Qualifications for Court Jobs in Karnataka 2024:

Candidate must have qualified Degree in Law from a
recognized Indian Law University and must have been worked as an Advocate.

Candidates having required qualifications working in the
High Court and in the District Judiciary are eligible to apply for this post.

Asst Public Prosecutors cum Additional Govt. Pleaders
working in the Prosecutions Department and Government Litigation are also
eligible to apply for Civil Judges post.

Pay Scale for Karnataka Court Civil Judge Jobs 2024:

Monthly Pay scale for the latest recruitment is Rs.27700 to
Rs. 44770 with Grade pay Rs.770 to Rs. 1080/-.

Age limits for
Civil Judges of High Court of Karnataka Recruitment 2024:

Upper Age limit for General candidate should be 35 years as
on last date for the receipt of application i.e. 01 March 2024. For the
candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ Ex Serviceman is 38 years.

High Court of Karnataka Selection Process for Civil Judge Jobs
Recruitment 2024:

Selection for this Civil Judge Jobs will be based on aggregate
marks obtained in Competitive Examination conducted by High Court of Karnataka.

Competitive Examination pattern/ Syllabus:

Competitive Exam will be conducted in 3
stages.

i.Preliminary Examination

i.Preliminary Examination:

Preliminary Examination will be conducted for
100 marks (Objective Type Question Paper)

ii. Main Examination:

Main Examination consists of four papers each carrying 100
marks.

1.Translation Paper:
Candidates required to translate passages (from Deposition, Judgments &
Documents) from English to Kannada and vice-versa.

2. Law Paper I:
Cover the Topics:

The Code of Civil procedure 1908,

The Indian Evidence Act 1872;

The Code of criminal Procedure 1973;

Principles of Pleading and the Constitution of India.

3. Law paper II:
Syllabus- Framing of Issues & writing Judgments in Civil cases.

4. Law paper III:
Syllabus- Framing of Charge & writing Judgments in Criminal cases.

iii. Viva Voce: will be conducted for 100 marks.

iv. Computer test: will be conducted for 25 marks.

Application fee
for High Court of Karnataka Recruitment Examination:

Preliminary Examination fee for general candidates is Rs. 500/-,
for SC/ ST/ category- I is Rs. 250/-.

 Candidates who have selected for Main examination have
to pay Rs. 1000/- and for SC/ ST/ Category – I candidates is Rs. 500/-.
